Anna H.R. Khan is a senior from Lahore, Pakistan double majoring in Political Science and English and doing her honors thesis research in STS. Anna is a published poet and strives to make her mark in the financial sector, equally pursuing a career in politics. During the summer of 2007, she interned at City Light Capital, a venture capital firm based in New York City that specializes in homeland security, alternative energy and media. In the summer of 2008, she interned at Goldman Sachs in New York and last summer she was at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco. Anna is an active member of the university outside of SWIB having been Elections Commissioner for the ASSU, Financial Manager for Sanskriti - the South Asian Society at Stanford and a member of the Women's Academic Honor's Society, Cap & Gown. Anna strives to bring together a community of ambitious businesswomen by emphasizing collaboration, business education, and a hands-on experience approach.

Kristine Li is one of the Co-Presidents of Stanford Women in Business (SWIB). She is a senior from Hong Kong majoring in International Relations with a minor in Economics. She has been with SWIB since her freshman year; her past roles being VP of Mentorship and Event Director. Her career interests include finance, consulting and international development. This past summer, she worked at the corporate finance division at one of the biggest real estate development companies in Hong Kong. She also has previous work experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an audit trainee, at Citigroup as an operations intern and at a radio broadcast company as a marketing intern. At Stanford, Kristine enjoys any chance to learn and expand her horizons, and has been fortunate enough to have spent two amazing quarters abroad in Beijing and at Oxford, during which she furthered her academic focus in the study of international political economy. Upon graduation, she plans to work abroad and eventually return to Hong Kong to pursue a long-term career in Asia. She is looking forward to meeting all members of SWIB and is committed to leading SWIB towards another great year!

Sophia Tsai is a junior from Plano, TX majoring in East Asian Studies and minoring in Economics. She hopes to pursue a career in consulting upon graduation and is very interested in international business. Sophia also loves learning languages. This past summer, Sophia worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in their Financial Industry Studies department doing research. She also participated in the Arts Intensive acting class right before school started. At Stanford, Sophia is a flutist in the Stanford Symphony Orchestra and Stanford Philharmonia Orchestra, and enjoys watching Taiwanese drama and anime when she has free time.

Ashley Sung is a junior from Seoul, South Korea majoring in Psychology and minoring in Economics. Interested in combining these two fields of study, she interned at the Brand, PR and Marketing Department for W Seoul-Walkerhill Hotel and acquired hands-on experience in marketing and publicity that translate into sales this past summer. In the summer of 2008, she interned at HAUTE Magazine for its Concierge Service Management team where she helped develop marketing strategies for a newly created client service in the luxury goods industry. Her other experiences include working as the Publicity Director and Fundraising Director for the Korean Students Association at Stanford University. She plans to pursue a career in marketing in various service-oriented industries after she graduates, and hopes to eventually open a restaurant of her own. She enjoys traveling, dining, and baking in her spare time.

Sherry Ho was born in Washington, DC but grew up in Taipei, Taiwan and Beijing, China. She is currently a junior majoring in International Relations and minoring in Economics. Aside from Stanford Women in Business, Sherry is also actively involved in Forum for American/Chinese Exchange at Stanford, class cabinet, and research at the Stanford Food Security and Environment Program. This fall, she will be attending Stanford in Washington and interning at the South Asia Sustainable Development Program within the World Bank. Last summer, Sherry worked as an intern at CNN in Beijing. In her free time, Sherry likes to read, watch movies, and spend time with friends.

Kelly Ding is a sophomore majoring in International Relations and considering a double major in Philosophy. She joined SWIB her freshman year and took advantage of the opportunities and resources of SWIB. This past summer she served as a marketing intern for Community Center Shanghai, a center for ex-patriots in Shanghai to go to for various resources and activities. She mainly worked on the newly formed China Regional Spelling Bee, recognized by the National USA Spelling Bee. She also worked with the Marketing Department in advertising, created media and presentation material for events, and assisted with the accounting for CCS. She hopes to seek a law degree in corporate law after working in the business field after college. Kelly enjoys playing the violin, reading, exercising, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Chun Pan is a junior from Sunnyvale, CA majoring in Management Science & Engineering. This past summer, Chun gained exposure to the fast-paced world of startups at the company ReelSurfer, where she worked on marketing and sales projects. She was also a Community Orientation Volunteer for the Asian American Community Center. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, listening to electronic music, enjoying the California sunshine, and playing badminton.

Katherine Chen is a sophomore from Irvine, CA, planning to major in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Computer Software. This past summer, she researched under a Professor of Surgery and CS, developing a plugin to aid in the segmentation of the liver toward hepatic surgery planning. Her interests center around international business and engineering as a tool for social entrepreneurship. This spring and summer, she will be studying in Kyoto and then working in Japan, hopefully in a company that fuses technology and business, and is excited to gain real work experience in a foreign country leading in hi-tech industry. In addition to being a part of SWIB, Katherine is Co-Chair of the Undergraduate Chinese American Association and Mentorship Director for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In her free time, Katherine enjoys cooking, swimming, writing short stories, and playing spades.

Sarita (May) Bunsupha is concurrently pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics (Honors) and an M.S. in Financial Mathematics. In 2008, she received the Present's Award for Academic Excellence in the Freshman Year and was ranked in the top 200 in the Putnam William Lowell Competition. She also won the bronze medal from the 47th International Mathematical Olympiad in 2006. In summer 2008, she participated in the REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University. Last summer, she worked at Bank of Thailand and Thailand Development and Research Institution. She is now served as a resident tutor in mathematics, economics, statistics and chemistry in Burbank, Stern Hall. Her academic interests include finance, consulting, mathematics, statistics, and economics. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing and singing. And the picture is below.

Kelsey Mrkonic is a sophomore from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan majoring in Psychology. This summer she interned in New York City at Jimmy Choo, a luxury shoe and accessory brand, working in the wholesale, retail, and PR departments. After graduating, she plans on pursuing a career in retail after attending business school. This is her first year in SWIB and is very excited to get involved and learn more about business. In her free time she likes to travel, cook, ski, and do yoga.

Tianxin Dai is a sophomore from Shanghai planning to major in Economics. Inspired by her sophomore college class in finance this summer, she wants to pursue a career in finance in China, and become a bridge between Chinese companies and American investors. She was involved in SWIB last year as a marketing intern, and will be the springternship director this year. She is excited to introduce the new springternship program and help dedicated SWIB members gain real world experience through the springternship. In her free time, she enjoys sports, manga, and fraiche frozen yogurt!

Natalie Cox is freshman from the scenic, coastal town of Gualala, California, who plans to study Economics and International Relations while in college.   She hopes to pursue a career in public policy or corporate law after graduation, and loves how SWIB explores a wide variety of careers and opportunities in the business sector.  During high school, Natalie was very involved in environmental research, choir, and the arts, and she hopes to continue these hobbies while at Stanford.  While at home, she also loves to explore the outdoors, sew, cook, and play the piano.

Lauren Swartz is a junior majoring in International Relations with a focus on Comparative Political Economy and minoring in Iberian and Latin American cultures. She has a strong interest in social entrepreneurship, international business development, and technology. This past summer she enjoyed working as a user growth intern for Cooliris, Inc.--a startup with a plugin that lets you quickly view photos and videos on a 3D wall. Lauren has studied political conflict in the Basque Country and will head to Santiago, Chile, and she has completed community development projects in Guatemala and rural Mexico. In addition to SWIB, Lauren is actively involved with Habla, Special Needs Aquatic Program, Chi Omega, and Stanford Immigrant Rights Project. She loves long hikes, backpacking, water polo and is an avid Stanford sports fan. She is looking forward to exciting Business Education events and to great year with the SWIB team.

Amy Saper is a junior from the far off land of Palo Alto, CA majoring in Science, Technology and Society with a focus in MS&E. She is interested primarily in business development and product management in the technology industry, and also has a passion for music. This past summer she interned at Tapulous, the maker of the music rhythm game Tap Tap Revenge, the #1 game on the iPhone platform. Her duties spanned from music industry relations to marketing and product management. The previous summer she interned at a private equity exchange fund in San Francisco performing sourcing and due diligence on sourced leads. In addition to SWIB, Amy is a Stanford Tour Guide, an Oral Communications tutor, and a Mixed Company alum.

Nui is a junior from Bangkok, Thailand, majoring in economics. She really liked her summer internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangkok Office. At PwC, she was in Tax and Legal consulting division, particularly working in Transfer Pricing service line. She assisted her mentor complete two transfer pricing projects and conducted industry analysis for another tax project. Nui loves traveling and is very interested in learning Asian languages especially Japanese. This spring she will study abroad in Kyoto and hope to eat a lot of good, authentic sashimi and ramen. Nui is also passionate in public service particularly in building community strenght. Therefore, in her freshman summer she went on a 2-week community project in Cebu, the Philippines, to work with the local youths on gastrointestinal worm education. Nui also plays the piano and enjoy listening to various kinds of music. Lastly, she loves all her social dance classes at Stanford and definitely recommends them to everyone!

Riddhi Mittal is a junior at Stanford University studying CS from New Delhi, India. She has completed the Systems track in CS and now aims to study A.I. and Computer Graphics. Aside from CS, she is interested in technology entrepreneurship, and Education. Her main focus areas in entrepreneurial activities are tech, consumer internet and gaming, social welfare, education and anything Asia related. She is also the Co-Chair of Technology for the ASSU Executive Cabinet and Director of GSB Relations for SPBA. Aside from CS and entrepreneurship, she loves to dance Salsa, Jazz, Bollywood and Bhangra and has led and choreographed for many dance teams. She is on the salsa and bhangra teams at Stanford.
International Philanthropy Director

Melissa is a junior from Los Angeles, interested in pursuing a career in law. This past summer, she gained invaluable experience interning with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles at the Santa Monica Courthouse providing legal assistance in civil law, tenant law, and domestic violence. Outside of Stanford Women in Business, Melissa serves as president of Tzu Chi, a community service organization that participates in bone marrow drives, distributes food to low-income families, and visits nursing homes, as well as hunger awareness coordinator of Stanford Project on Hunger, an organization that helps reduce food waste on campus while providing for the homeless. In her spare time, Melissa can be found playing tennis, reading novels, or eating blueberries.
Internal Relations Director

Originally from South Korea, Beauram is a junior with a Communication major with a focus on marketing. She is interested in a wide range of marketing/communication strategies in fields like finance and business to social networks. Each summer, she has taken opportunities to combine her coursework with first-hand experiences. During freshman summer she interned at the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse, learning how banks communicate/market financial ideas to investors. This past summer, she interned at Cyworld’s (the Korean equivalent of Facebook) marketing research strategy team. There, she researched understanding the cultural nuances that play into developing new applications. At school, Beauram has been an RA for the Virtual Human Interaction Lab (VHIL) since sophomore spring. She is also President of the Korean Student Association (KSA), Rush Chair for her sorority Sigma Psi Zeta, and a member of the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) and Stanford Women in Business (SWIB). These positions have taught her a lot about the importance of effective communication in connecting people and mobilizing resources. This year she is serving as a Peer Advisor at the Communication Department and she is excited to be able to share this passion with more colleagues.

Becky Johnson is a sophomore planning to double major in Psychology and Economics. She is interested in the intersection of these two fields, and is currently doing research in the Psychology department in neuroeconomics and the brain processes behind economic decision making. This past summer, Becky was awarded a fellowship with the Psychology Department to pursue a research internship. Outside of SWIB, Becky is involved as marketing officer for Gumball Capital, a nonprofit focused on microfinance, and a director for WYSE, an all-female mentorship group that works with middle school students in East Palo Alto. In her spare time, Becky enjoys scuba diving, traveling, and going to concerts. After college, Becky hopes to go into marketing or consulting and eventually combine her academic passions of psychology and economics and pursue an MBA with a focus in organizational behavior.

Terry Kim is a junior majoring in International Relations. She is interested in marketing and international trade law. This past summer she interned at a marketing research company in Seoul, South Korea and currently works as a research assistant with the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. She also has experience working for a law firm in Texas focusing on mediations between corporations in San Antonio. In addition to SWIB, Terry is Assistant Director of the Korean Students' Association Social Committee and has served on the Executive Board of DreamCatchers, a student-run not-for-profit organization focused on helping under-served students in the Palo Alto Unified School District. In her free time, Terry loves to bake/cook, travel, shop, and relax on the beach!

Neha Tahir is a sophomore from Dubai, UAE, planning to major in Economics. She is very interested in the fields of social entrepreneurship and non-profit organizations. Conference Management has been one of her passions since high school, and she has organized numerous conferences for various training/consulting firms since her Junior year in high school. This past summer, she interned for UNICEF in Dubai as well as a Consulting firm based in the US for which she organized two leadership conferences in Dubai. The conferences were targeted towards local high school and college students and trained the participants in demonstrative leadership, global citizenship and entrepreneurial skills. Outside of SWIB, Neha is one of the social chairs for Sanskriti, Stanford's South Asian Undergraduate Organization; she is also a member of Stanford's Bhangra Team, Chardi Jawani. In her free time, she loves to dance, try out exotic chocolate and eat at Palo Alto's amazing restaurants!
