SWIB Intern Program
Every year, SWIB recruits outstanding women to work closely with the executive board in running the organization and promoting our mission of inspiring, educating and connecting businesswomen of tomorrow, today.
The SWIBternship Class of 2009-10 is divided into two different programs:
Leadership Intern Program, for Freshmen and Sophomores
Interns will work directly with one of the SWIB teams and take on internal responsibilities in running the organization and its programs in order to develop leadership skills.
Associate Program, for Juniors and Seniors
Associates will work remotely with the SWIB board, while emphasis will be put on the formal training of building business skills and network through exclusive career development opportunities.
These programs are an important time commitment that we hope will equip our interns and associates with the necessary experiences to gain a significant understanding of business, and be able to lead SWIB in the future.
Both programs offer:
- Business Education Training through the Mini-MBA curriculum offered every other Monday
- Mentorship Support with a Women in Business from the industry of your interest
- Hands-On Leadership Responsibility of organizing the SWIB Winter Conference from idea to implementation through close guidance of the current SWIB board
- Exclusive Career Development Opportunities through invitations to corporate recruiting events and to part-time external internships during the school year.
- Interns are provided the opportunity of a Spring Internship with a company.
- Associates are provided the opportunity of a Fall (and Spring) Internship with a company.
